The next phase for Revolution Very Light Rail

The Revolution Very Light Rail (RVLR) vehicle programme has entered a new phase with the delivery of the Demonstrator vehicle’s assembled bodyshell and major sub-systems to the Quinton Rail Technology Centre (QRTC) at Long Marston, Warwickshire, for final assembly, system integration and vehicle-level performance validation testing.

The programme of work at QRTC will continue into early 2021, after which the RVLR vehicle will be available to undertake demonstrations to potential rail scheme sponsors and stakeholders.

The organisations which make up the Revolution VLR consortium are consortium leader TDI, RSSB, Eversholt Rail, WMG at the University of Warwick, RDM Group, Cummins, Prose AG and Transcal Engineering.
