Railbusinessdaily.com joins White Ribbon movement to end domestic abuse

Railbusinessdaily.com is proud to have been approved as a White Ribbon UK-accredited organisation. It demonstrates the internal and global commitment of encouraging collective action and to change the behaviours and cultures that lead to abuse or violence.

Throughout 2020, reports of domestic abuse in the UK increased dramatically, with the Refuge charity reporting a 25 per cent increase in calls and online requests. Although domestic abuse impacts people of all genders, there is significant evidence that women are disproportionately affected.

Samantha van Deventer, RBD’s internal lead on Diversity and Inclusion: “As a media-based business RBD has multiple, far reaching, platforms. We would be remiss to not use the voice we have as a force for good. The White Ribbon UK accreditation process is quite comprehensive, and we are proud that as a business we have committed to supporting this initiative.

“We have the opportunity to make a real difference and will continue to support White Ribbon UK, and our other causes, in the years to come. The White Ribbon UK initiative aligns with the work we are doing as a business to promote diversity and inclusion across the Group.”
