Hitachi pledges millions to help people in Ukraine

Hitachi Group has announced it will be donating about $3 million (US) to provide humanitarian aid to those affected in Ukraine and its neighbouring regions.

The money will be allocated to organisations such as the Japanese Red Cross Society and the Japan Committee for UNICEF. It also includes the Group’s donation to the American Red Cross, Singapore Red Cross and other aid programs in Ukraine delivered through a scheme where the business matches donations made by employees.

In a statement, it said it was committed to supporting the people of Ukraine and those affected by the conflict. It also said it was providing support to employees in Ukraine. This includes its team at GlobalLogic Inc.
