London Underground services continued to be disrupted today after a strike by thousands of workers crippled the Tube yesterday.

The Telegraph covers the story about members of the RMT union taking industrial action in a dispute over jobs, pensions and conditions.

The Tube was suspended during Tuesday’s rush hour, with only a few services running later in the day.

Transport for London had warned that disruption would continue into today with no Tubes until at least 7.30 this morning and a severely disrupted service until later in the morning.

Light rail and bus operators across England are set to benefit from more than £150 million of government support.

The purpose of the money is to ensure services continue to run and millions of passengers can continue to get around as the country emerges from the pandemic.

This funding is dependent on local areas and operators co-designing a financially sustainable and passenger-focused public transport network that works for changing travel patterns post-pandemic.
