Nuclear Transport Solutions launches major recruitment drive

Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS) has launched a major nationwide recruitment drive in a bid to strengthen and support its existing teams.

Head of operations Oli Schepisi explained that the recruitment drive will enable it to become “better rather than bigger”, diversifying and bolstering an already talented team.

“We’ve got some great people working at NTS, and now we’re focusing on leadership,” he commented. “It’s about finding the right individuals – those who will help us to coach and support our workforce.”

NTS (which currently runs 11 driver depots and three maintenance depots) has opportunities for senior team members in control, operational delivery, and planning and resourcing. As part of its commitment to diversity and inclusion, the business has introduced flexible working, and is considering applications from across the country.

“One area of focus for us is where people work,” Oli added. “There isn’t a need for all our people to be in offices, and we recognise that they like the idea of flexible working. It’s important to find the right balance.”

Oli also hopes to place an apprentice in every ops function – something NTS’ engineering team has already achieved.

He explained: “There are opportunities for apprentices in every area of the business, and I’m really looking forward to having five or six within operations.”
