The Rail Aid team needs your help! In 2020, Rail Aid’s fundraising efforts were hugely helped by your donations of items and experiences for the Railwayana and Gala Auctions. Last year Rail Aid’s auctions raised over £170,000 for Railway Children charity.
This year, Rail Aid is running the Gala auction, sponsored by Colas Rail, which will be launched on 4 November. We are currently looking for goodies for the Gala Auction featuring lots with a corporate value, such as advertising, leisure and travel experiences, gifts and vouchers, rail experiences and memorabilia along with items money can’t buy. Phenomenal lots already secured include:
· Crossrail Experience and Station Tour for 4 with exclusive behind the scenes access
· Benefit from £50k advertising on Trainline
· Two-night stay at The Old Railway Station
· Join the Network Rail Air Operations team in their helicopter
· Two nights for two on the Belmond Royal Scotland
· Philippe Starck chair designed originally for the Eurostar business lounge
· Experience the joy of having Sir Peter Hendy as their bus driver
· VIP shopping trip in Oliver Bonas to include £150 gift card to spend in store
To make the auction a success, we are on the look-out for over 100 lots, so we really need your help! All contributions will be gratefully received, and we’d like to give a big thank you to those who have already donated. We kindly ask that auction lots are donated as soon as possible.
We really want to make this the best gala auction yet so please have a look in your homes, offices, cupboards, and shelves and get creative about items or experiences you could donate.
