Rail Demand Information System (RDIS) recognised by industry judges at the Railway Innovation Awards 2022

The Rail & Station Innovation Company (RASIC) – is delighted to announce that its Rail Demand Information System (RDIS) was recognised as Highly Commended in the Small Scale Project category at the recent Railway Innovation Awards 2022 which were revealed at a ceremony in London.

Developed initially to support the rail industry’s response to the COVID 19 pandemic, RDIS is helping operators to understand their recovery in passenger traffic, enabling them to develop services that meet the emerging passenger profile.

Marcus Mayers, Managing Director of RASIC says: “RDIS was developed to support our operational customers to understand their own passenger behaviour through the transformational insight combining novel data sources, including mobile data, can provide. I am proud of the team and our suppliers, and I am delighted that industry peers have recognised the contribution we have made to rail’s recovery. I look forward to enhancing RDIS to provide more insights, and more value as we embrace the value of open & integrated data.”
